According to Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Debnad Show, in 2011 it will be celebrated the 150-year anniversary of birth of Robindranat Tagor. On this occasion Azerbaijan will also hold events.

Besides it, in the new academic year there will be opened a Chair of Indian Language in Azerbaijan University of Languages: "Professor Ragjish Kumar will come from India in order to help the opening of the chair. He will work here for some time and will help Azerbaijani teachers to prepare program for teaching Indian language."
